Meet Derrick and Sheila Miller of Better Than Sex Dallas

Plano, Texas

Back in 2015, Derrick and Sheila made their way to Key West and they said it “instantly became our place.” On their first visit to the island, the couple visited our flagship location, where they have since celebrated anniversaries, birthdays, and their wedding.

Derrick has dreamt of opening his own business for years. While Sheila, at 21 years old, had a vision of opening her own dessert and drink restaurant. In 2012, Sheila walked through Better Than Sex’s seahorse doors to learn that this was “her destiny.” Derrick and Sheila are passionate about teaching their three children what hard work and dedication look like, deciding to open their own Better Than Sex in historical downtown Plano in September 2019.

The couple has an unwavering and burning desire for Dallas to fully experience Better Than Sex, “not only will they be treated to amazing desserts and specialty, but they will also feel as if they are the only ones in the restaurant,” said Sheila. “It’s a one of a kind experience so guests can truly enjoy the company of their significant other.”
