Why did our Founders choose Orlando for their 2nd Location? Orlando is a special place for Dani & Len, it’s where they met and fell in love back in 1996! So naturally, Orlando would be the perfect spot. Opening to a full house in 2015, Orlando’s small and intimate interior has continued to be welcomed by locals and visitors alike.

Let’s meet the Leadership Team

Alec - GM
Our talented General Manager Alec came to us years ago as a young guest in our Key West Location, FL.

His Better Than Sex career began in 2019 in Key West as a server. He became one of the best we have ever had and was quickly promoted to FOH Server Trainer. Alec made sure that every new team member who joined us was knowledgeable and ready to give the highest level of excellent service to our guests. In 2021, Alec moved to Orlando to further his career and join the team as our Assistant General Manager. Demonstrating exceptional leadership and high standards, Alec is now our General Manager of Orlando!

In addition, Alec oversees our Social Media Instagram content and takes some of the most fabulous “behind the scenes” photos and videos.

Any Swifty Fans out there? Alec is your guy! Outside of work he enjoys music, reading and happens to have a talent for style, design and makeup artistry.


Tia – Director of Operations / Partner

Since 2012 Tia has been a bright light in our Better Than Sex Brand. Some of you may have met her back in the day as a server in Key West. She started with us at our Original location on Petronia Street. From day one, Tia has had a special gift that Dani & Len noticed and just had to embrace. She has a go-getter attitude and is always looking out for the best of everyone. Tia took on the Lead Server Trainer Role in Key West, then became our AGM there. Once Orlando was slated to open, we knew Tia was the perfect candidate to open the Restaurant here as our General Manager. A few years into that, Tia wanted to commit even more to the Better Than Sex Brand and became a Managing Partner. Tia has taken on the role of opening restaurants, coaching our franchisees, and leading our teams as the Director of Operations. Without Tia, Better Than Sex would not be where we are today. She is strong and fierce, yet relatable, kind, and caring. Don’t be fooled by her tiny stature, this girl can lift 240lbs and is most likely to be an award-winning Ninja Warrior someday!



Liz - KM
When she was a teenager, Liz visited our Key West location as a guest and still remembers her very first Better Than Sex dessert. When she learned that we were hiring in our kitchen, she was eager to live her dream of transforming from home cook to pastry chef. She started out with us at a Line Chef in 2021 and was promoted to Pastry Chef & Kitchen Manager shortly after. Liz quickly excelled and has prepped every recipe with intense dedication to detail and love. She has risen to every challenge she has faced and tackled each with grace and enthusiasm. She fearlessly leads our kitchen team to deliver every drink and dessert perfectly to each and every guest. Outside work, Liz is a foodie at heart somehow makes time to ensure that every team member’s birthday and work anniversary is celebrated in a personal and tasty way. Any Emo Fans out there, hit Liz up for a concert or Karaoke!



Emily – AGM

A burst of energy is what you’ll see in Emily, just as we did when we first met her in 2021! Emily is a talented chef who came to us as a Line Chef and was quickly promoted to Line Training Supervisor. In addition, she has a creative eye and has elevated some of our current menu items to the works of art you see today. In addition to her culinary and pastry skills, Emily has a knack for bringing a team together and connecting with our guests. These qualities have promoted her to the AGM position here in Orlando within her first two years with us. Her true passion lies within everything hospitality, in her free time you can always count on Emily to be whipping up something delicious and worthy of a cover photo on a Food Magazine. Any Gardening Fans out there? Emily has a green thumb and is a pro with a Machete!
